DAIWA SALTIST BLACK SPINNING REELS

The new Daiwa Saltist Black spinning reel has been designed to obtain a powerful reel with high resistance to corrosion. The MagSealed technology does not allow the intrusion of foreign bodies, increasing the sense of smoothness during the recovery of prey or simple bait. The new Daiwa ATD drag is the best possible to support the spool during the traction of the fish, and reduces the twist of the line, giving more fluidity and precision in the fight. These reels are among other things, enhanced by a particular type of grease after assembly, which greatly improves the already excellent performance. Recommended for spinning in the sea (leperfish, bluefish, bonito) or for heavy techniques in fresh water (catfish, pike).

Given the popularity of saltwater fishing, reducing water penetration is an important goal to minimize corrosion, promote longer life and better performance. Daiwa has found a solution - Magseal, this system significantly reduces the penetration of water into the body through the main shaft. Being magnetised, this lubrication system avoids any friction, reduces dust intrusion, eliminates oil splashes and improves reel life.

Daiwa's new drag system, ATD, implements structural changes to the reel's metal spool that provides greater spool support along the length of the main shaft. This additional spool support reduces spool twisting under load, promotes more even wear on the drag washers, and ultimately reduces drag 'pulsation' when playing fish.

Combined with a new improved drag grease that has a low viscosity at rest, but becomes more viscous soon after the drag starts. This reduces the initial drag inertia and, together with the structural changes to the ATD drag system, ensures smoother drag from initial engagement.
