Designed for barbel and used by all our specialist advisers, it is a blend of crushed hemp and halibut pellets which have been coarsely ground together to create a perfect mix for the cage feeder, net feeder, net feeder river feeder or balling in. makes a great foundation for a PVA Stick Mix or sloppy spod mix.

When used through a feeder it can be mixed to create a rather sticky mixture so it can also be used in flooded conditions and the larger particle size helps the groundbait break down and release from the feeder.

Ground hemp produces a very light oil which is released immediately, even at low temperatures, giving instant attraction and the heavier fish oils in Halibut pellets are released at a slower rate and continue to pump out of the pellets as the water flows over them, thus attracting fish to the feeder for an extended period of time. The variation in particle size causes the fish to pick up the trail as smaller pieces are moved downstream creating a trail to the larger pieces that remain around the feeder.

Dai Gribble says "If I'm on rivers I always have a bag of Hemp Hali Crush, it's the perfect feeder mix because you can mix it to get the right consistency for whatever flow the river has." Being made from hemp pellets and halibut it has everything you need to attract schools of barbel on rivers such as the Severn or Wye, or solitary fish on less prolific rivers, combine it with a Halibut Pellet O as a hookbait and fish with confidence. )

Guidelines for mixing

Hemp Hali Crush is simple to mix. Empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round bucket and add about 1.5 liters of water for most fishing situations and mix thoroughly then leave for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait . So for best results; to get rid of any lumps and create an even texture, rub between the palms of your hands.

When fishing the sun and wind can dry out your groundbait a bit, to combat this you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or if it dries out just add a little more water and mix again.
